One source of nutrients that a child is obtained from food, but many parents still do not understand right about this by simply assume that food is only meant to make children full course. Whereas the provision of proper food, besides being able to meet the nutritional needs of children can also provide other benefits such as in terms of education through learning about eating skills, fostering a sense of discipline & psychological terms is also useful for strengthening the relationship between mother & child.
Feeding to the child should be tailored to the needs of children & capacity. This is because children need calories was greater than that of adults for children <3 years need between 100-120 kcal / kg / day compared with adults who only need 35-40 kcal / kg Body Weight / day. But because the stomach capacity of the smaller children than in adults then the child should not be forced for eat large amounts granted as adults.
So should the child be fed in small amounts but often. Like for example when adults eat 3 times a day, for child feeding can be used 5 times a day, for example with the following schedule: morning breakfast with the provision of milk, then during the lunch given at bedtime along with milk lunch & evening dinner provided as well as milk before bed. Then between breakfast & lunch and between lunch & dinner can be provided with healthy snacks like fruit or pudding.
