Currently, cancer is one of the dreaded diseases worldwide. Even according to the World Cancer Report, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) 2009 is expected in 2010 will be the leading cause of cancer death worldwide. For Indonesia itself based on the results of Riskesdas MOH in 2007, cancer is the seventh leading cause of death after stroke, tuberculosis, hypertension, injuries, and diabetes mellitus with the prevalence of tumors to reach 4.3 per 1000 inhabitants.
Some risk factors that can cause cancer are smoking, obesity, eating less fruit and vegetables, lack of physical activity, excessive alcohol consumption, air pollution and infectious diseases like HIV or sexually transmitted HPV. Currently there are 100 known types of cancer that attacks the man with 14 of them are the most common cancers are: cancer of the liver, lung, stomach, esophagus (throat), prostate, colorectal (colon and rectum), breast, ovary, pancreas, uterus, testis, bladder, thyroid and endometrium.
Prevention is one step that can be done to prevent cancer, although not all cancers can be prevented but cancer deaths can be avoided by early detection of cancer and appropriate treatment. This is because if the cancer can be detected in early stages of the treatment is intended to cure the disease, whereas when it is at an advanced stage and spread then treatment is usually carried out aiming to prolong the lifespan of patients.

Examination Biomarker C-12 protein chips has advantages compared to other tests, namely:
- Having a higher accuracy than a single tumor marker examination.
- In an examination of tumor markers found 12 results.
- The blood sample is required only 2 cc, whereas if using a single examination for 12 kinds of examinations are required + 10 cc.
- The cost of inspection is more efficient than 12 kinds of single tumor marker.
